Please join us in your support of Pablo Ronderos, young violist, who was accepted to Boston University Tanglewood Institute. This recital is a fundraiser to provide Pablo with the opportunity to attend this prestigious summer program. Works by Mozart, Schumann, Rachmaninoff, and others.
Pablo Ronderos is an up and coming violist from Fairfax, Virginia. Pablo began his musical journey at the age of 7 studying violin with Dr. Alina Kirshon-Goldman. From 2013 to 2017 Pablo studied with Marybeth Frank. At 15, he switched to viola and resumed his studies with Dr. Kirshon-Goldman. In 2018 he won first prize in Concerto Competition and he was an honorable mention at the Easterling String Achievement Award sponsored by the Northern Virginia Music Teachers Association. Pablo was an honorable mention at the state level of Music Teachers National Association competition. In 2019 Pablo was an honorable mention at US Army Band competition and was invited to perform with the orchestra on May 17, 2019.
Pablo has participated in the 2018 and 2019 All Virginia Orchestra and is currently principal violist of the DC Youth Orchestra. Pablo has attended the Luzerne Music Festival in Lake Luzerne, New York and the Sphinx Performance Academy at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and he has performed in the Musica Riva Festival in Riva del Garda, Italy. He is currently a junior at W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax, Virginia where he is concertmaster of the Philharmonic Orchestra. This summer he is looking forward to attending the Boston University Tanglewood Institute in Lenox, Massachusetts, where he will have the opportunity to work with some of the finest instructors and musicians in the country.
